Nanday Parakeet

Nanday Parakeet, Aratinga nenday, breeds in south Brazil and Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina. It is a South American parrot of the Psittacidae family, placed in the order Psittaciformes. Mostly green in plumage, it is best recognised by the black mask on its face and the black beak that give it its name. The wings carry black flight feathers, the tail is long with blue at the tip, and the chest is bluish-green above and paler below. The thighs are red.
