Naumann's Thrush, Turdus naumanni, is a thrush in the family Turdidae that breeds in sc Russia and moves to se Russia and e China outside the breeding season. It was described by Temminck in 1820. It is a stocky, medium-sized bird with a pale brown back and head, a reddish face, breast, flank spots and rump, white belly and undertail, a reddish brown underwing, and a pale supercilium. The female is much like the male, while young birds show less distinct patterning. It nests in trees and is strongly migratory.
