Nava's Wren

Nava's Wren, Hylorchilus navai, is a bird of the Troglodytidae family that breeds in southern Mexico, with its range in middle America limited to sc Mexico. It is endemic to Mexico and was first described by Crossin & Ely in 1973. The species is monotypic. It lives in a small part of Veracruz, Chiapas and a little of Oaxaca, in undisturbed forest with karst limestone outcrops between 75 and 800 m. Adults show a rich brown crown and upperparts, a tawny face, and pale underparts that shift from whitish to grey-brown.
