New Britain Thrush, Zoothera talaseae, is a thrush of the montane forests on New Britain and Umboi in Papua New Guinea, within the Bismarck Archipelago. It belongs to the family Turdidae and was described by Rothschild and Hartert in 1926. The breeding range is restricted to montane Umboi, west of New Britain, and to south-eastern New Britain. The Bougainville thrush was once treated as the same species, and the pair were formerly grouped under the name black-backed thrush.
