The New Caledonian White-eye, also known as Zosterops explorator, is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of New Caledonia. It has a distinctive white ring around its eye, with olive-green upperparts and a yellowish belly. This species is known for its acrobatic foraging behavior, often seen hanging upside down while searching for insects and nectar. The New Caledonian White-eye forms small flocks and is highly vocal, with a variety of melodious calls. Due to habitat loss and introduced predators, the conservation status of this species is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
