New Georgia Dwarf Kingfisher, Ceyx collectoris, is a kingfisher of the west central Solomon Islands, breeding from Vella Lavella to Nggatokae in the New Georgia group. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. Once treated as a subspecies of the variable dwarf kingfisher, it was raised to species level in 2013 after a molecular study showed strong divergence among island forms. The former variable dwarf kingfisher was then split, and the name was applied to the Moluccan dwarf kingfisher.
