Niam-niam parrot

The Niam-niam parrot (Poicephalus cryptoxanthus) is a medium-sized parrot native to the dense forests and woodlands of Central Africa. These parrots are known for their vibrant plumage, which consists of a combination of green, yellow, and red feathers. They are highly social birds, often found in small flocks, and are known for their playful and intelligent nature. Niam-niam parrots are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits, seeds, and insects. Their conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, although their populations may be threatened by habitat loss and the pet trade.
