Niam-niam Parrot, Poicephalus crassus, is a parrot of central and north-eastern Africa, breeding from Cameroon and Chad through South Sudan and north-eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is mainly associated with the Central African Republic. The bird is recognised by its grey-brown head and breast, green upperparts and belly, orange eyes, pale lower bill and green underwings. It differs from other Poicephalus parrots by lacking yellow beneath the wings. It was described by Sharpe in 1884.
