Niceforo's Wren

Niceforo's Wren (Thryophilus nicefori) is a small bird species found in the Andes of Colombia. It is known for its distinctive white supercilium and buffy underparts. This wren is typically found in dense undergrowth and thickets in humid montane forests, where it forages for insects and small invertebrates. The species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard during the breeding season. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the population of Niceforo's Wren is declining, and it is currently listed as Endangered by the IUCN.
