Nicobar Hooded Pitta, Pitta abbotti, is a passerine of the Pittidae family found only in the Nicobar Islands in the eastern Indian Ocean. It was described in 1902 by Richmond. Its breeding range is the Nicobar Islands in the Oriental Region. The bird was once treated as part of the hooded pitta group, now known as the western hooded pitta, but is recognised as a separate species. No subspecies are accepted.
