Mimus polyglottos (Linnaeus, 1758)

Northern Mockingbird, Mimus polyglottos, is a passerine of the Mimidae family that breeds in North America and Middle America, from southern Canada to southern Mexico. It is also recorded in parts of the Caribbean and on the Hawaiian Islands. A notable feature is its ability to copy bird calls and other sounds, including artificial and electronic noises. It is usually a permanent resident across much of its range, though it may shift south in bad weather or before winter begins. Its upperparts are grey to brown, with a paler underside and white patches on the wings and tail.
