Northern Silvery Kingfisher, Ceyx flumenicola, is a kingfisher of the Philippines, breeding in Bohol, Leyte and Samar in the eastern Visayas. It lives in tropical lowland forest and along streams and rivers, and it is tied to wooded waterways below 1,000 m. It can also use secondary forest, selectively logged forest and streamside growth in coconut plantations near forest edges. It is set apart from the southern silvery kingfisher by its cream throat, cheek and belly, along with rich royal blue on the breast and flanks, and it is slightly smaller.
