Northern Slaty Antshrike, Thamnophilus punctatus, is a passerine of northern and western Amazonia in South America. It belongs to the antbird family and was described by Shaw in 1809. It is a forest and woodland bird that uses the understorey and mid-storey. Its range is split into separate parts, with the main population spread across the Guianas and Brazil north of the Amazon, and other populations in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It is marked by clear differences between males and females, and the nominate form has a grey face, black crown and slaty underparts.
