Nuku Hiva Monarch, Pomarea nukuhivae, is a bird of Nuku Hiva in the northern Marquesas Islands of north-east Polynesia, where it was the only member of its family recorded there. It was first described by Murphy & Mathews in 1928. The species was once treated as part of the Marquesan monarch before being recognised as a full species by the IOC in 2012. It was confined to French Polynesia and lived in moist lowland and montane forest, as well as heavily altered former woodland. It is now extinct.
