Apus niansae
The Nyanza swift (Apus niansae) is a small, fast-flying bird found in the Nyanza region of Kenya. It has a streamlined body, long wings, and a distinctive forked tail, which enables it to maneuver swiftly and gracefully in the air. Nyanza swifts are often seen in large flocks, darting and wheeling through the sky as they hunt for flying insects. They are highly adapted for aerial life, with a short, forked tail and long, narrow wings. Nyanza swifts are known for their distinctive high-pitched calls, which they use to communicate with each other while in flight.
