Moho bishopi

The ʻOʻu, or Moho bishopi, is a small passerine bird endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. It has a distinctive curved bill and bright yellow plumage on its head and breast, with a darker olive-green back and wings. The ʻOʻu is known for its melodious song and agile foraging behavior, often flitting through the canopy in search of insects and nectar. Unfortunately, this species is now extinct, with the last confirmed sighting in 1987 on the island of Kauai. Habitat loss, introduced predators, and avian diseases contributed to its decline.
