Ochraceous Bulbul

Alophoixus flaveolus

The Ochraceous Bulbul (Alophoixus flaveolus) is a medium-sized songbird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive ochre-colored plumage with a slightly paler underbelly. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard echoing through the dense foliage. Ochraceous Bulbuls are primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects, small fruits, and nectar in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. They are often observed in pairs or small groups, displaying agile and acrobatic flight patterns as they move through the forest. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, the Ochraceous Bulbul is currently not considered to be at immediate risk and is classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.
