Ochraceous Bulbul

Alophoixus ochraceus

The Ochraceous Bulbul (Alophoixus ochraceus) is a medium-sized songbird found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive ochre-colored plumage with a slightly paler underbelly. This species is known for its melodious and varied calls, often heard echoing through the dense foliage. Ochraceous Bulbuls are primarily insectivorous, foraging for small insects, fruits, and seeds in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. They are known for their agile and acrobatic flight patterns, darting between branches and foliage. Despite being relatively common in its range, the Ochraceous Bulbul faces threats from habitat loss and fragmentation.
