Ochraceous Wren, Troglodytes ochraceus, is a wren of Middle America that breeds in Costa Rica and Panama. It was described by Ridgway in 1882. In the IOC treatment, the species includes two subspecies. It is a resident bird of wet montane forest with abundant epiphytes, and it also uses woodland edges, tall second growth and tree-dotted pastures. It usually occurs between 900 and 2,450 m, though it has been recorded from 600 m to 3,000 m. It forages mainly on mossy trunks and in epiphytes, taking small invertebrates.
