Ochre-breasted Brushfinch, Atlapetes semirufus, is a passerine of the Passerellidae family that breeds in Venezuela and Colombia. It was first named by Boissonneau in 1840. The bird is linked to the northern Andes and to montane forest in those two countries. Its breeding range spans South America, and it is recorded from subtropical moist habitats. The species is also known from several national parks. It is a brushfinch with a finely pointed bill, and the sexes look alike. Six subspecies are recognised, showing marked variation in plumage across its range.
