Ochre-breasted Pipit, Anthus nattereri, is a bird of south-eastern Brazil, southern Paraguay, north-eastern Argentina and Uruguay, where it lives in open country. It was first described by Sclater in 1878 and belongs to the Motacillidae family. Its range is patchy across campo grassland, pastures, fields and other treeless places, and it has also been noted in young Eucalyptus plantations during the breeding season. It is a ground-foraging species that takes small invertebrates, and it is non-migratory, though it is thought to move about in response to weather or climate.
