Olivaceous Elaenia, Elaenia mesoleuca, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in eastern South America, from south-eastern Brazil through eastern Paraguay to north-eastern Argentina. It is a small elaenia without a crest, and the sexes look alike. Adults show a dull olive crown with little or no white at the centre, a white eyering, and plain olive upperparts. The wings are dusky with pale tips on the coverts forming two bars, while the tail is dusky. The underparts are grey, olive and white, with a yellow wash on the flanks and undertail coverts.
