Olivaceous Piha, Snowornis cryptolophus, is a passerine bird of the Cotingidae family found in South America from Colombia to Peru. It lives in humid montane forest in the subtropical zone, where it is mainly associated with the lower and middle layers of the woodland. The species has a disjunct range, with one population in western Colombia and north-western Ecuador and another extending through the Andes into Peru. It is a year-round resident. Its plumage is similar in both sexes, and the nominate form shows a partly concealed black crest on the crown.
