The Olivaceous Schiffornis is a medium-sized passerine bird found in the forests of Central and South America. It has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a pale throat and belly. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. It forages for insects and small fruits in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. The Olivaceous Schiffornis plays an important role in seed dispersal and insect control within its habitat. Although not currently considered threatened, deforestation and habitat loss pose potential risks to its population.
