Amaurornis olivacea
The Olive-backed Rail, scientifically known as Amaurornis olivacea, is a small to medium-sized bird found in wetlands and marshy areas across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. This species is characterized by its olive-brown plumage, with a distinctive white streak above the eye and a red bill. Olive-backed Rails are secretive and elusive, often staying hidden in dense vegetation. They are skilled at moving through reeds and grasses, using their long toes to navigate their habitat.
