Olive-backed Woodpecker, Gecinulus rafflesii, is a woodpecker of the Oriental Region, breeding in the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo. It is found in lowland, mangrove and montane forest, and avoids clearings and secondary growth. The bird is marked by yellow-green upperparts, grey-olive underparts, and two black-and-white stripes on the side of the head. Males have a large red crest, while females show a smaller black one. It was described by Vigors in 1830 and belongs to the family Picidae.
