This vireo is often found in pine-oak forests and cloud forests, where it forages for insects and small fruits in the canopy. It has a melodious song that is often heard during the breeding season. The Olive-headed Vireo is considered to be of Least Concern by the IUCN due to its relatively stable population and wide distribution.
