The Olive Long-tailed Cuckoo (Cercococcyx olivinus) is a species of cuckoo found in the forests and woodlands of eastern and southern Africa. It is known for its distinctive long tail and olive-green plumage, which provides excellent camouflage in its preferred habitat. This species is primarily insectivorous, feeding on a variety of insects and caterpillars. The Olive Long-tailed Cuckoo is a secretive bird, often remaining hidden within the dense foliage, and its call is a distinctive descending whistle. While not currently considered threatened, the conservation status of this species is still being assessed.
