Olive Sunbird Cyanomitra olivacea is a widespread African bird in the family Nectariniidae, found across the continent’s breeding range. It lives in forest, scrubland and altered habitats, and is present from western to eastern Africa and south into the southern part of the continent. A key feature is its variable plumage, which can range from dark olive to dull olive with a paler underside. It has a long, down-curved bill, and some birds show yellowish-orange pectoral tufts. The species was described by Smith, A in 1840 and belongs to Passeriformes.
