Psittacara maugei
The Olive-throated Parakeet, also known as Psittacara maugei, is a medium-sized parakeet found in Central America. It has a predominantly green plumage with an olive-colored throat, and its long tail feathers are blue. These parakeets are often found in humid forests, woodlands, and forest edges, where they forage for fruits, seeds, and flowers. They are social birds, often seen in small flocks, and are known for their playful and acrobatic behaviors. The Olive-throated Parakeet is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is stable.
