Olive-tree Warbler

Hippolais olivetorum

The Olive-tree Warbler is a small migratory bird found in the eastern Mediterranean region. It is known for its melodious song and secretive nature, often hiding in dense foliage. This warbler has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a pale throat and belly. It feeds on insects and spiders, foraging in the canopy of olive groves, scrublands, and woodland edges. During the breeding season, the male's song can be heard as it defends its territory. The Olive-tree Warbler is a species of least concern, with stable populations and no major threats identified.
