Olive-tree Warbler, Hippolais olivetorum, breeds in Croatia and Greece east to Bulgaria, Turkey and Israel, and spends the nonbreeding season in eastern, south-eastern and African regions. It is a passerine in the Acrocephalidae, the reed warblers and allies. First described by Strickland in 1837, it is placed in the genus Hippolais. Its breeding range lies in south-east Europe and the Near East. The species is also known for its long, thick bill, with an orange-yellow lower mandible.
