Opal-crowned Manakin, Lepidothrix iris, is a bird of the manakin family in south-east Amazonia, where it lives in humid lowland forest and mature secondary woodland in Brazil. It is found in two separate parts of the Brazilian Amazon Basin, with the nominate form ranging from near Belém in Pará east to north-western Maranhão and south to the upper Xingu drainage, while L. i. eucephala occurs on the right bank of the lower Tapajós in south-western Pará. It is marked by an opalescent crown, and males and females differ in plumage.
