Orange-breasted Bunting, Passerina leclancherii, is a passerine of the Cardinalidae family that breeds in southern Mexico. It is found in tropical dry forest and arid scrub, including thorny thickets, bushy deciduous woodland, clearings and woodland edges, and it occurs up to about 900 m. The species is patchily distributed and is more common in secondary growth than in untouched forest. It is endemic to Mexico, with a range along the Pacific side from southern Nayarit to western Chiapas and inland to western Puebla. The adult male shows a golden-orange breast, while the female has greyish-green upperparts and yellow underparts.
