Orange-breasted Green Pigeon, Treron bicinctus, is a pigeon of forest in the Oriental Region, ranging from India and Sri Lanka through south-east Asia to Hainan, the northern Malay Peninsula, Java and Bali. It is recognised by the male’s breast pattern, with a narrow lilac or pinkish band above a broader orange band, while the female lacks these markings and shows yellow below. The nape is blue-grey, the crown yellowish green, the upper tail-coverts bronzed and the under tail-coverts unmarked rufous. It is usually seen alone, in pairs or in small flocks.
