Orange Chat, Epthianura aurifrons, is a honeyeater found in Australia, breeding across most of the country except the north, far south, east and Tasmania. It was described by Gould in 1838. It is a small ground-dwelling songbird with long, broad wings, a short square tail, long slender legs and a straight, narrow bill. Males are mainly deep yellow with an orange wash, black on the lores and throat, and a golden orange rump with white-tipped tail feathers. Females are grey-brown and mottled, with softer yellow below. The plumage does not change with the seasons.
