Orange-chinned Parakeet, Brotogeris jugularis, is a parrot of Middle and South America, breeding from south-west Mexico through Central America to western Venezuela. It belongs to the family Psittacidae. The nominate form has the wider range, reaching from Oaxaca south along the Pacific side of Central America and on into Colombia and north-west Venezuela. It lives in semi-open country, deciduous woodland, secondary and gallery forest, plantations, treed parts of towns, and the Llanos, but not evergreen forest. It is usually seen in pairs or small flocks, and it is generally sedentary.
