Orange-eyed Flatbill, Tolmomyias traylori, is a passerine of the far western Amazon Basin in South America, breeding in western Amazonia. It occurs in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and may also reach far western Brazil. It was formally described in 1997. The bird is linked to riverside forest, especially seasonally flooded várzea, and in Peru it is also recorded on older river islands. It is mainly found from the middle layers of the forest up into the canopy. Its eye is pale orangish brown or yellowish mauve, and the bill is broad and flat, with a black upper mandible and a pale pinkish brown lower mandible.
