Orange-eyed Thornbird, Phacellodomus erythrophthalmus, is a passerine of the Furnariidae found in eastern Brazil, where it breeds in the south-east of the country. It is a resident bird of the Atlantic Forest region, especially in humid lowland and montane evergreen forest and secondary growth. It also occurs beside small marshes, along watercourses, in woodland, and in Eucalyptus plantations and urban areas. The species is recognised by its orange iris and the similar plumage of both sexes. It was described by Wied-Neuwied in 1821.
