This medium-sized dove primarily feeds on fruits and plays a vital role in seed dispersal within its habitat. It is often observed in the canopy of lowland rainforests, where it can be quite secretive and difficult to spot. Due to habitat loss and hunting, the Orange-fronted Fruit Dove faces conservation concerns in certain parts of its range.
