Orange-fronted Parakeet, Eupsittula canicularis, is a parrot of Middle America that breeds from western Mexico to western Costa Rica. It belongs to the family Psittacidae and was first described by Linnaeus in 1758. The bird is recognised by its orange-peach forehead and lores, with a dull blue crown and green upperparts. The sexes look the same, and young birds resemble adults but show less orange on the forehead. It uses semiopen country, forest edges, woodland, savanna, thorn scrub, plantations, pastures and lowland foothills.
