Orange-fronted Plushcrown, Metopothrix aurantiaca, is a passerine of the Furnariidae that breeds in western Amazonia in South America, including Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It is the only species in its genus and has no subspecies. Its appearance is unusual for a furnariid, with yellow-green plumage and yellow legs, and adults show an orange forehead with yellow facial markings. The crown, back, rump and tail are greenish olive, the wings are dark olive fuscous, and the underparts are dull yellowish green. Juveniles show little or no orange and yellow on the face.
