Orange-headed Thrush

Geokichla citrina

The Orange-headed Thrush is a medium-sized bird found in forests and wooded areas across South and Southeast Asia. It is known for its striking orange head and underparts, contrasted with a slate-grey back and wings. This species is primarily insectivorous, foraging on the forest floor for insects, earthworms, and small invertebrates. Its melodious song can often be heard echoing through the forest canopy. The Orange-headed Thrush is a shy and elusive bird, typically seen singly or in pairs. Although not currently classified as threatened, habitat loss and degradation pose potential risks to its populations.
