Oriental Magpie-Robin, Copsychus saularis, is a passerine of the Oriental Region, where it is widespread across the breeding range. It belongs to the Muscicapidae, the chats and Old World flycatchers. The male is marked by black and white plumage and a long tail that it carries upright. It occurs through much of the Indian subcontinent and into parts of Southeast Asia, and is found in both urban gardens and forests. It is also known for its song and was once kept as a cagebird.
