Ciconia boyciana

The Oriental Stork (Ciconia boyciana) is a large, striking bird with a white body, black wing feathers, and a long, pointed red bill. This species is known for its distinctive appearance and graceful flight. Oriental Storks are found in wetlands and marshy areas of eastern Asia, where they forage for fish, amphibians, and small mammals. They are known for their impressive nesting behaviors and are often seen in pairs during the breeding season. Unfortunately, the Oriental Stork is classified as Endangered due to habitat loss, pollution, and hunting. Conservation efforts are underway to protect and restore their wetland habitats.
