It is characterized by its distinctive white eye-ring, olive-green upperparts, and yellow underparts. These agile birds forage for insects, nectar, and fruits in a variety of habitats, including gardens, forests, and mangroves. They are known for their melodious and varied songs, often heard in small, active flocks. The Oriental White-eye is a common and adaptable species, often found in urban and suburban areas. Its conservation status is of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
