Orinoco Softtail, Thripophaga cherriei, is a passerine in the Furnariidae family and breeds in south-central Venezuela. It is also recorded from Colombia, though its known range remains limited. The bird lives in dense undergrowth beside waterways in várzea forest, where vines and bamboo are important parts of the habitat. It is a resident species. The sexes are alike. Adults show a buff or whitish eyebrow, a brown face with buff streaking, a chestnut-orange chin, and a chestnut-rufous upper throat.
