Oriole Blackbird Gymnomystax mexicanus is a passerine in the family Icteridae, the New World orioles and blackbirds. It occurs in South America, mainly in forested wetlands of the Orinoco Basin and northern Amazonia. The species was described by Linnaeus in 1766.
