Pacific Flatbill

Pacific Flatbill Rhynchocyclus pacificus is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in western Colombia and north-west Ecuador. It was first described by Chapman in 1914. A bird of the Chocó, it occurs in humid lowland and foothill forest, as well as mature secondary woodland. Its range in Colombia extends from the Atrato River region southwards along the western side of the country, and in Ecuador it reaches north to Los Ríos Province. It is a monotypic species and is known as a year-round resident.
