Acrocephalus agricola
The Paddyfield Warbler (Acrocephalus agricola) is a small passerine bird found in marshes, reedbeds, and wetlands across Europe and Asia. This warbler is known for its distinctive song, which consists of a series of rapid, scratchy notes. It has a brownish-grey plumage with a streaked back and a pale underside. Paddyfield Warblers are insectivorous, feeding on a variety of small invertebrates found in their wetland habitats. They are known for their skulking behavior, often staying hidden within dense vegetation. During the breeding season, they build cup-shaped nests low in reedbeds. Although not currently considered threatened, loss of wetland habitats poses a potential risk to their populations.
