Painted Honeyeater, Grantiella picta, is a honeyeater of the family Meliphagidae that breeds in northern, eastern and south-eastern Australia, from the Northern Territory through Queensland to Victoria. It is the only species in its genus. First described by Gould in 1838, it is a bird of woodlands and forests with Eucalyptus and Acacia, and its movements are linked to mistletoe, especially Amyema berries. It is also associated with places that have more trees and denser canopy cover, and with areas that are less broken up by clearing.
