Palani Laughingthrush, Montecincla fairbanki, is a laughingthrush of the Western Ghats in south-west India, breeding in the Palani Hills. It is found in high montane forests and is endemic to the hills south of the Palghat Gap in Southern India. It has a grey bib, a rufous belly, a strong dark eye-stripe and a broad white brow. It was once placed with the grey-breasted form of Black-chinned Laughingthrush, and the two were also treated together as Kerala Laughingthrush.
